Your reading, writing and discussion skills will be developed further as you respond to text and to the events of the world around you. You will use oral and written language to increase your proficiency in developing effective group work and individual study skills. These skills are critical to success in further education as well as the world of work. 1/6 of the program will involve media studies.
Assignments and evaluation will reflect the learning styles and individual needs of students at both the general and advanced levels. Your evaluation will be made up of the following components: writing process, small group or interactive learning and oral language, work and study habits and independant study, summative tests and examinations. Marks will be weighted to reflect the proportion of time alloted to each activity in each class.
